Turn on WHOIS privacy

Domains & DNS 3 min read Updated March 2026

WHOIS is a public directory of domain owners. Privacy replaces your personal details with a privacy-proxy contact so spammers and scammers can’t scrape your email.

Enable

  1. Portal → Domains → Manage → Privacy.
  2. Toggle WHOIS privacy. Free on every TLD that supports it.
  3. Change is live within 10 minutes.

TLDs where privacy is not allowed

A few ccTLDs require real owner data: .us, .eu, .pk, .br, .ca (among others). For these we mask what we can; the registry-required fields stay visible per regulation.

Already spam-flooded?

Enable privacy, then change your contact email at Account → Profile to a fresh address. Scraped spam lists don’t pick up the new email.
