Managing DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT)

Domains & DNS 3 min read Updated March 2026

AmzHost’s free premium DNS runs on anycast nameservers across 6 continents. Changes propagate in under 60 seconds to our network.

Record types you will use

  • A — point a hostname at an IPv4 address. Example: @ → 203.0.113.10.
  • AAAA — same, for IPv6.
  • CNAME — alias one hostname to another. Cannot be used on the apex.
  • MX — route incoming email. Required for mailboxes.
  • TXT — free-form text. Used for SPF, DMARC, domain verification.
  • SRV — service record for VoIP, XMPP, Minecraft.

Where to edit

Portal → Domains → Select domain → DNS. Changes take effect immediately on our nameservers; third-party caches clear as TTL allows (default 3600s).
